Why did we start Disobedient Gear?

This little project was born out of seeing a glaring hole in the general liberal gun ownership space - education and training beyond safety and shooting basics. There are many bits of knowledge that those steeped in American gun culture take as established fact, but only gets imparted to new folx through forums like reddit or militantly leftist shooting groups. 

Our goal is to get this knowledge into a cohesive anthology and make it broadly accessible. 

I am not an expert - I have some knowledge as a result of exposure and many hyper-fixations, so I will get things wrong. I ask for your grace and will do my damndest to be transparent about corrections.

• I will be reaching out to various people to ask for their knowledge: war reporters, EMT's/Paramedics, librarians, protest organizers, maybe some of those high speed guys you hear about.
• I will link comments from various forums that have good tidbits.
• I will share articles from websites that do not share my ideologies, if in info is good.

Fair warning: There will be times that this will be very blunt. I again ask that you give it the benefit of the doubt- our goal is to help keep you alive. We see you, we hear you, we love you, and we want you here. But as the folx at OffColorDecals say, "No Pride, Only Wrath."
